Description

ND. 1952 (WorldCat). Curious second collection of reminiscences from Riley-Smith, director, among much else of John Smith's Brewery in Tadcaster. Illustrations are by Mr Bradley, his bank manager. Entertainingly self-effacing: "Therefore my dear friends, if you find that this second edition is full of unnecessary padding, which I'm afraid it will be, please blame the people who suggested I should put my pen to paper again and write all this terrible nonsense." Well produced and all in VG, clean and bright internal order with just minor foxing to endpapers. Smart blue cloth with bright gilt tilting to front. VG unclipped d/j, lightly worn to top edge and faded to spine. This is a charity sale for Friends Of Morston Church (reg.1099831). 4to. 105pp
